As the new year has begun, and plans are being made, I want to invite you and your students to consider, Engage.  This is a weekend event designed to Engage students’ minds, hearts, and lives, through a great speaker, awesome worship music, fun, and an opportunity to serve in the community.

Engage is scheduled for April 12-13. The theme this year is BE: Who We Are in Christ. This theme will encourage students of all levels of spiritual maturity to engage in their relationship with Christ to understand who they are in him, how to pursue him deeper, and how to share him with others.

The speaker for our event is Kolby King, the founder and director of ThreeThirtyMinistries. Since 2008 Kolby has used a variety of creative tools such as, ventriloquism, illusions, fire-eating, humorous illustrations, stunts with 6-foot balloons and more to communicate the truth of God’s Word.  You can visit his website at https://threethirtyministries.com. Here is also a link to a video of his ministry.

The Worship Band for our event will be The Jared Ruff Band from FBC Fayetteville.  Jared was involved in leading the worship for the U of A BCM every Monday night and is now on staff at FBC Fayetteville as a worship leader.

The cost for this event is going to be $25 per person. However, if your group signs up by March 4, we will take $5 per person off the cost. Also, for every 8 students your group brings you will also get one free admission regardless of when you sign up.

Included in the cost is, the four session event, lunch and dinner on Saturday, as well as a fun and rewarding opportunity to commit acts of service all over the city of Rogers in an Amazing Race style competition (For example, Create 3 thank you cards, 1 fire, 1 police, 1 EMT, find a representative for each of these groups and give card and thank for service). Each church will need to have enough transportation on site for their students on Saturday.

Registration for this event is open now. You can register your group by clicking this link https://forms.gle/JfHtdFEKAR5iBrvg6 or by going to gbcrogers.com and clicking on the “What’s Happening” link at the top of the page and then scroll until you find the Engage graphic. Click the graphic and fill out some basic information and your group will be registered! We just need an idea of how many you may plan to bring. Payment will be made at the door when you sign in April 12.

Included with this letter is a flyer that you can hang up to promote the event, as well as a basic schedule for the weekend. If you want more flyers or have any other questions you can reach out by email –  or text (479) 282-5331.

We also want to invite any other leaders interested in being a part of running the event and a part of the planning process going forward, to let us know as well. We want to work together to make this a great event we all have a part in!
